Whale watching in the North Coast - an experience you don't want to miss

One of the most thrilling experiences you can have while you are in the Dominican Republic is going on an excursion to watch the whales that come to the North Coast to the warm waters of the Caribbean from mid-January to mid-March.

Studies have revealed that every year whales come from Greenland, North America and Canada to the Coast of the Atlantic Ocean of the country for the purpose of pairing and it is an amazing spectacle. The male whales have to jump above the water and fall some meters ahead to gain attention from the female whales and if they do not get any reactions, they make a sound for a while that can only be heard by female whales that are under the water.
